Design Daze Out: March Events 2026

It’s March in London and while the weather can’t quite decide between sunshine and showers, the cultural calendar is confidently in bloom. Galleries are buzzing, fairs are in full stride, and studios are throwing open their doors as Spring edges closer.

It’s also Women’s History Month, a timely moment to celebrate the women in art, design and culture who have shaped the city’s creative DNA and continue to redefine it with strength and imagination. With that in mind, here are a few events we’re itching to experience as the season shifts and the capital begins to blossom.

The Other Art Fair

As the season turns, The Other Art Fair throws open the doors to the unexpected. Rule-breaking and never normal, it is where convention loosens its grip and new voices take centre stage. For us, it’s proof that audiences are curious, taste is plural, and the edges are often where the energy lives.

05 – 08 March 2026 | The Truman Brewery

Fairy Tales at the British Library

And now for a bit of nostalgia with a touch of magic. From Cinderella to global folklore, centuries of storytelling unfold through manuscripts, illustrations and theatrical costume. Beneath the magic lies something sharper: stories evolve because culture evolves. For us, it is a masterclass in narrative endurance. The best tales flex, adapt and still hold their spell.

Opens 27 March 2026 | The British Library

Sholto Blissett: Orders of Magnitude

at Pilar Corrias
Savile Row
18 March - 25 April 2026
In Orders of Magnitude, Sholto Blissett paints landscapes untethered from time or map. Familiar, yet not. Real, yet slightly tilted. Drawing on tradition while bending it through surrealism, the work challenges how we see nature and, by extension, ourselves. It is thoughtful, layered and quietly disarming. Exactly the kind of perspective shift we value.

Warrior Women Walk

We’re celebrating Women’s History Month on foot. Footprints of London hosts Warrior Women walks that reveal the capital through stories of courage and conviction. From the National Portrait Gallery to Westminster and Whitehall, queens, campaigners and spies step into view. For something grittier, Disorderly Women of Rag Fair, Bawdy Houses and the Docks uncovers the defiant lives of women who shaped London from its edges.

Museum of Edible Earth

A travelling curiosity cabinet dedicated to geophagy – the global practice of eating earth for health, ritual or culinary tradition. With over 600 edible samples and a communal tasting table, it invites visitors to quite literally taste the terrain. For Hunt Hanson, it is a reminder that culture, craft and curiosity often live beneath the surface. Sometimes inspiration comes from digging a little deeper.
